IAM Local 62A Ratifies Historic Agreement

The new deal included eliminating the two-tier wage system. It features 3% GWI in each year of the contract, a tenure adjustment:  $0.25 at one year of service, $0.25 at three years of service, and $0.50 at five years of service. At ratification, 106 members will see a $1 increase in their base rate due to tenure or a weighted average increase of $0.71 across all members.

With the above adjustments, the average increase in base pay is $1.81 or 7.4% in the first year. Includes a ratification bonus of $2,500 with a 50% match if placed in the savings plan.

“Our members at Local 62A are responsible for the success of Collins Aerospace, and they deserve to be treated fairly at the negotiating table, said IAM Eastern Territory General Vice President David Sullivan. “These members stood strong together throughout these negotiations and fought for a contract worthy of their work at Collins Aerospace.
