When asked about the Towson store’s union win, President of the United States Joe Biden told reporters, “I am proud of them. Workers have a right to determine under what condition they are going to work or not work.”

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi tweeted her congratulations to IAM CORE in reference to a video of members celebrating: “Congratulations to Apple workers organizing with @acoreunion @MachinistsUnion and making history. House Democrats passed the PRO Act because we believe every worker deserves a union and this moment.”

Immediately after the election results were known, IAM International President Robert Martinez Jr. asked Apple CEO Tim Cook to “respect the election results and fast-track a first contract for the dedicated IAM CORE Apple employees in Towson.”
